Hertfordshire, UK – 17th November 2016 - Universal Smart Cards are delighted to announce that Microexpert, cryptographic payment specialists, are joining as their first partner to support the Universal JCard developers kit. In a move to enable easy access to the Java Card development kit, Universal Smart Cards have launched a new partner programme. By working alongside key players, with high levels of knowledge and expertise in Java card development, the company will make java card development more open to developers, R & D departments, consultants, SME’s and educational institutions. As well as providing the kit at an accessible price, each partner will also be involved in the forum, providing support in their specialist field to users of the Universal JCard.

 

Microexpert, designers and developers of electronic payment systems are an obvious choice as a first round partner due to their wealth of experience customising and developing Java Cards for payment systems, authentication and access control. The company has a 30 year history working as consultants, trainers, security architects, developers and designers. They also have a strong track record working in the transport, leisure, library and education sector. As cryptographic specialist they have an in-depth knowledge of electronic and digital cash systems, IoT, data integrity, authentication and mobile payments.

The Universal JCard kit is designed for multi-application and high security based smart card systems, the Universal JCard is a high specification microprocessor product, built on the award winning Infineon SLE78 chip. The Kit contains a complete set of tools that allows customers to develop, integrate, test and customise Java Card applications, quickly and effectively.
